What is the nameplate of a transformer? What are the main technical data?
The nameplate of a transformer indicates its performance, technical specifications, and application scenarios, serving to assist users in their selection. The main technical data that users typically pay attention to when selecting a transformer include:
(1) The kVA (kilovolt-ampere) rating of the transformer. This represents the output capacity of the transformer under rated conditions. For example, the rated capacity of a single-phase transformer is calculated as Uline × Iline, and the capacity of a three-phase transformer is also calculated as Uline × Iline.
(2) Rated voltage (in volts). Indicate the terminal voltage of the primary coil and the terminal voltage of the secondary coil (when no load is connected) separately. Note that the terminal voltage of a three-phase transformer refers to the line voltage Uline.
(3) Rated current amperage. It refers to the value of the line current Iline that the primary coil and the secondary coil are allowed to pass through for a long time under the conditions of rated capacity and allowable temperature rise.
(4) Voltage ratio. It refers to the ratio between the rated voltage of the primary coil and the rated voltage of the secondary coil.
(5) Wiring method. A single-phase transformer has only one set of high and low voltage coils, designed for single-phase use, while a three-phase transformer has Y/△ configurations. In addition to the technical data mentioned above, there are also specifications such as the rated frequency, number of phases, temperature rise, and impedance percentage of the transformer.
Shenzhen Shentebian Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of power transformers. Its main product lines encompass three categories: oil-immersed transformers, dry-type transformers, and prefabricated substations. As a professional manufacturer certified by the ISO9001 quality management system, the company produces various types of power transformation equipment that comply with IEC international standards. These products are widely used in urban and rural power grid construction, industrial power distribution systems, and new energy power generation fields.
